Where can I find Books for my Biography Project?

1. ELEMENTARY LIBRARY CATALOG Look for books in our elementary school library. Search for a specific title or type in the word biography in the search box to see what biographies are in the library.

2. HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY CATALOG Look for books in our secondary school library. Search for a specific title or type in the word biography in the search box to see what biographies are in the library. Ask Mrs. Heilig to bring the book to the elementary for you.

3. AEA MEDIA CATALOGLook for brooks from the Mississippi Bend AEA on the AEA Media Catalog link and choose "browse as guest" to find books at the AEA that can be delivered to the elementary school. Write down the information about the book and ask your teacher or librarian to order it.

4. Look for ebooks from the Mississippi Bend AEA. Click on the mackinVIA icon to search for the ebooks. Log in with the school's AEA username and password from your teacher or librarian. Choose Categories from the left hand side of the page. Choose biographies. There are 30 biographies in ebook format on this site.

5. THE IOWA LOCATOR Look for books from public libraries across Iowa if you have a public library card. Click on the Iowa Locator link to find items in Iowa Public Libraries. Ask your local public library to have the title sent there, and you may check it out from the public library when it arrives. This will take longer than the other options above, so you will need to plan ahead.
