Mr. Luepker's Superintendent Update Calamus Wheatland Community School District home of the warriors

January 25, 2024

 Dear Warriors,

Congratulations to the class of 2023 Hall of Fame inductees.  We are accepting nominations for the 2024 class up until September.  Please visit our website for more information at the following link:

Visit the Hall of Fame website at this link.

The Board hired Grundmeyer Leadership Services to lead the district in the Superintendent search. A survey was sent out to all stakeholders this past month.  Applications are being accepted until January 28, 2024.  The intent is to narrow down the applicants, interview and hire the new Superintendent by late February.

Invision Architects and Boyd Jones plan to meet with the teacher group and task force one more time in early February to discuss a potential bond referendum in November.  After this final meeting, Invision Architects and Boyd Jones plan to hold community meetings to receive input.

Snow Days!!  Winter has definitely hit us this month.  I appreciate your patience with all of the cancellations and changes. The district is currently working on a plan for make-up hours/days and will keep you posted.  Please remember there is a lot of winter weather left as we start to make plans.

With all of the changes to activities the past few weeks, please continue to check updated information by visiting the district’s website events section on the website and app.

I encourage you to check our website, app and social media pages to help stay informed on the day-to-day happenings within our district.

The strength of the C-W district is its tremendous community support, whether there are good times or bad.  It is a pleasure to work in a district that values education.  I feel fortunate to be one of the leaders of the district and appreciate your patience and support. As always, if you have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to reach out.
