The Chute Basketball Camp is tomorrow and Wednesday at the Activity Center. Grades 9-12 will go from 8:30-11:30 and grades 4-8 will be from 12:30-3:30. If you didn't pay in full at registration, the remaining money is due tomorrow. Looking forward to a great few days!

Lori Forret wanted us to share a message on behalf of the Forret Family.
We continue to struggle to find the right words to express how the actions of so many on Thursday night, along with this entire last week, has made our family feel. But here is our best attempt:
To Cal-Wheat Baseball – The love and support that you showed your fellow teammate on one of the toughest days of his life will never be forgotten….not by Brian, not by Megan or myself, and not by the entire Cal-Wheat community. Your actions showed what being part of a team is all about. I’ve always said actions speak louder than words. You demonstrated the true meaning of caring for a teammate and his family. So many people have said “If there’s anything we can ever do, just ask.” You guys did something for us that we would’ve never asked for but will hold with us forever.
To Cal-Wheat Softball – When we found out that you were part of this tribute really made us realize that it was more than just the baseball team and fans supporting our family…..it was an entire Warrior effort. Chris did spend a lot of time at your field while I was coaching, while Megan was playing, and especially helping get your field ready to play mowing the grass. Mowing your outfield was not a job to Chris, he didn’t do it for the money. He was concerned that the grass would be too long so your doubles would only be singles, or if there were too many grass clippings you wouldn’t get a good grip on the ball. He was concerned if he mowed when it was wet and left ruts the ball would take a bad bounce or someone would twist an ankle. He wanted you to arrive on game day, step out onto a beautiful field with perfectly straight lines and be able to have the best game possible. That is what pride he took in mowing your field and knowing you had a big part in his tribute is especially touching to us.
To the Cal-Wheat Community – We all know that there is nothing better than living in a small community. But until you are on the receiving end of something so amazing like Thursday night, you never know that really is true. When trying to plan Chris’s visitation and funeral, we wanted everything to be perfect because this was the last memories that we would ever create with him. Because of all of you, Thursday could never have ended more perfect.
