Today marks the start of Family Week in the state of Iowa. From July 28-August 4th there will be no sports or school activities. This includes practices, open gyms, meetings, and strength and conditioning. Have a relaxing week, Warriors!
The Calamus-Wheatland Community School District Board of Education approved a petition this week. It’s a step toward a $7.51 million general obligation bond referendum that would be placed on the ballot for Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

For the second summer in a row, Lena Hines attended a workshop at the University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communications. She chose to attend the Broadcast Journalism workshop and won an award for Best Teamwork. Congratulations, Lena!

Calamus-Wheatland partners with Bound for athlete registration. Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open.
All students interested in participating in sports (7-12) must be registered in Bound. Please refer to the attached flyer for the registration link and step-by-step instructions. The registration link is also available here: https://manager.gobound.com/registration/ia/school/calamuswheatland/family
Please note that registrations are valid for the current school year only and must be renewed each academic year. Students must be registered for each sport individually (e.g., football, basketball, track). Students will not be permitted to practice until all steps of the Bound registration process are complete, including uploading a current physical. Hard copy physicals will not be accepted; please do not send them to school.
