Earth Day service project
National Honor Society & Environmental Science cleaned up downed trees from the derecho at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat Center. As a result there is hardwood firewood available. If interested call Todd Seifert at 563-374-1092 to arrange pickup.

Mrs. Heilig received an Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher Supplement Grant funded by the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation, supported by the Iowa Farm Bureau. Agriculture-themed books were purchased for the elementary library. #gowarriors


JH track meet at Lisbon tomorrow, Monday, April 19th has been postponed. Possible makeup date is being worked out.

College Biology finished a unit on zoology & one activity was to learn about embryonic development. Students had to determine the proper day & place to drill a hole in the eggs & inject food coloring. (The chicks will lose the color once they get their feathers).

The Calamus-Wheatland students would like to honor our communities by hosting a clean up day!! If you, a neighbor, or a business would benefit from some extra help with Spring Cleanup, please fill out this form. We are hosting the Warrior Pride Community Clean Up Day on May 14 from 1:00 - 3:00.
Examples of things our students could help with: cleaning out leaves, picking up sticks, spreading mulch, planting flowers, cleaning windows, painting, hauling, garage cleanup, etc.

6:00pm: Activity Center closed for the Clinton County Board of Supervisors meeting regarding old Hwy 30 bridges & access.
Public welcome & masks REQUIRED.
Activity Center closed 3:30pm until the Clinton County Board of Supervisors meeting has concluded.

School Record Alert:
Congratulations to Chase Knoche for breaking the school record in the 800m running 1:57:84 at the Marion Invitational. The previous record of 1:58:28 was set in 1990 by Chad Flynn.

Mrs. Luepker's Financial Literacy class took part in a March Madness tournament by calculating Return On Investment of some popular stocks. Jarred LeBarge finished 2nd with Kellogg's and Marae Benischek won the tournament (and $1 million) with Domino's.
