Veterans Day program and luncheon 2024 (part 1 of 4) We sang the National Anthem and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Mr. Ray “Bubba” Sorensen, founder of The Freedom Rock, was our guest speaker. 2nd-3rd grade students sang “Yankee Doodle”; the band played “Anthems of the Six Armed Forces”; Alexa Jacobi introduced each Veteran in attendance; Girl Scout Troop 2423 gave each Veteran a card; 6th grade students sang “The Brave”; Legion members performed the Salute to the Dead: Elise Brown honored fallen Veterans with the playing of “Taps”. All Veterans and community members in attendance were served a lunch prepared by our CW nutrition staff of pork loin (provided by the Jeff and Deb Hansen Foundation), party mashed potatoes, peas/carrots mix and dessert. Thank you to our partner First Trust and Savings Bank and everyone involved for making this Veterans Day program so enjoyable. #gocalwheat #gowarriors
