Parents- Please help your child find their snow gear tonight for school this week. Our playground is snow covered and everyone will go outside for some fresh air. If your child needs any winter gear please contact the office and we will locate items for them.

It sounds like we will be able to see our Warrior Family tomorrow! Even though it has warmed up, elementary students will be staying inside for recess this week. It doesn't look like the "feels like" temp will be over 10 degrees. Even though we are not going outside, please make sure you dress warm to walk, or ride to school. We want to make sure everyone is warm enough as they come and go from school.

We are going into hiding one more day to scare the cold away! Share how your camouflage that you are wearing today!

The elementary library recently added over 75 new books using the Scholastic dollars earned at our fall book fair.


On Saturday, January 6th Macy Lyon and John Prachar participated in the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters' Association Honor Jazz Band held at Coe College in Cedar Rapids. They performed with students from other 1A and 2A sized schools in the northeast corner of the state, under the direction of Jeff Robilliard of Pella Community School District.


On January 8th, 12 high school band students participated in the Tri-Rivers Conference Honor Band, held at North Cedar HS. They performed five pieces, directed by Dr. Joshua Neuenschwander from Cornell College. Students involved were: Macailah Jacobsen, Serenity Weston, Macy Lyon, Alex Rickertsen, Addison Connelly, Sarah Forret, Kahlie Hill, Austin Sedgwick, Sadie Schumann, Isabella Gentile, Luke Rohling, and John Prachar.
