Week at a Glance. JH boys basketball practice this week from 3:15-5:00. Go Warriors!
Cheer on the Warriors this Saturday in the 2024 IHMVCU Girls Shootout! The Warriors will take on Abingdon-Avon at 12:30PM at the Augustana Carver Center. Students in 8th grade and under get in free! Admission is $6 which is good for all games.

Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association honor band, Oelwein, Iowa Dec 2nd
Students rehearsed with students from all over the northeast corner of the state, and had the honor of working with Dr. Heidel of University of Iowa and Dr. Gustafson-Hinds of O'Fallon Township High School in Illinois, performing a concert that evening. Students involved were (from left): Macy Lyon, Macailah Jacobsen, Sarah Forret, and Alex Rickertsen.
The 5th and 6th grade Bands reached their fundraising goal this fall, and were rewarded with a food party- boneless chicken wings! After their snack they enjoyed games, puzzles, and listening to music.

Last week, our secondary students got us in the Holiday spirit with the Winter Fine Arts Concert. Huge thank you to the students, Ms. Seedorff and Ms. Ziegenfuss for the great music! It was fun to see the students and teachers take on different roles!! #gowarriors
Whitney VanBlaricome attended the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters’ Association district honor band on 12/2/23. While there she auditioned for the All-Iowa 8th Grade Honor Band, a highly selective, state-wide ensemble. She was honored with a recall, which means that she is All-Iowa caliber, but there weren’t enough spots available for her to be selected. Congratulations, Whitney!

A&P class reconstructed chicken skeletons. Students cleaned & labeled each bone to compare to similar bones in the human body for structure & function. Each has its own bone guide & comparative description. Science catalog retail is $700.

Save the Date! Girls Basketball will be participating in the IHMVCU Iowa/Illinois shootout on Saturday, January 6th. The Warriors will be playing Abingdon-Avon at Augustana College's Carver Center starting at 12:30PM. Students in 8th grade and younger get in free! Make the trip and support the Warriors!
Greenhouse and Floral Production class has been busy lately with wreath making. From creating a design, cutting fresh pine and creating their product, students are experiencing a new hands on trade.
