Today, the middle schoolers got a chance to hear from the mayor of Calamus, Lance Goettsch, to help them prepare for the If I Were Mayor Essay Contest. Lance discussed the positives and negatives in his community, and the process to make ideas come to reality. The middle school wide contest allows students to form and express their own ideas about the changes they would make if they were mayor.

The Barbie themed JH Back to School Dance was a hit Friday night as students dressed their best in pink and danced the night away! Thank you to our student council members and their parents for providing treats, our chaperones, and our high school helpers for assisting.
