Although the FBLA shoe drive deadline has passed, we can continue adding to our total right up until the trucks arrive from Florida to pick them up. So if you missed the deadline but would still like to donate, you can drop shoes off at the hs office in Wheatland. Thank you.

The district wants to get this weather notice out to you as soon as possible. Due to the district and area being in an extreme cold warning, school will be cancelled tomorrow, Friday, January 23rd. There will be no Friday morning, afternoon or night activities.
The Warrior Early Learning Center will be open Friday, January 23rd during the normal center hours.
Decisions on Saturday, January 24th extra-curricular activities will be made in the near future.

Calamus-Wheatland Schools will have a two hour delay this morning, Monday, January 19. This means no AM practice and activities, along with no AM preschool. The Warrior Early Learning Center will open at normal time.
Seven students were selected to attend the Tri-Rivers Conference Honor Band at Starmont on Monday. Students participating were Elise Brown, Alix Fisher, Peyton Grau, Jason Hayton, Macailah Jacobsen, John Prachar, and Alex Rickertsen. Students rehearsed with other musicians from across the conference and performed a concert that evening under the direction of Dr. Glenn Pohland of Loras College.
Congratulations to our Warriors wrestling with North Cedar! At last week's Northeast Invitational, Brennen Koch placed 3rd! His only loss of the day was to the eventual champion. #gowarriors
John Prachar was selected for the Northeast Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Jazz Band. Last Saturday he performed jazz selections with students from around the area with guest conductor Joel Nagle and jazz artist Jessika Smith.

Families and community members may notice an increased law enforcement presence at our secondary building this morning. This is part of a planned, routine safety measure conducted in partnership with local law enforcement. There is no immediate concern. We appreciate your continued support.

4th graders have been working hard on inventing new inventions in our Eureka unit!#gowarriors
Mrs. Alden's 6th grade science classes have been busy putting their skills to the test. They have been mixing different substances, making careful observations, and following clues to try and uncover what is inside our class "Mystery Mixture."#gowarriors
Financial Lit students used Smarties to practice setting SMART goals and discussed what motivates and influences them as they work toward meeting their goals. They also learned about the impact of competition and the achievement motive on goal setting.
